The zip drive was the revolution in floppy drives. This usb version is brilliant. In translucent blue it goes with most new style pcs and macs. For people wondering what the difference this drive is from the more expensive drives - its quite simple: this drive is USB but has a separate power supply. Not a problem for me but some people prefer the usb powered versions - and pay more! I recommend downloading the latest drivers and software direct from Iomega and not using cd-rom included as you will get the up to date version from the website. As well as being good at what it does (quick, quiet and reliable) it looks damn good and is a great gadget! You can eject the disk from Windows Explorer and basically use it like another hard disk. Windows Explorer even states Zip 100 with a little icon! When you install it windows will give it a drive letter eg. drive D or E depending on how many hard drives and cd drives you have installed. Simple to install and well worth buying if you need to more files no more than 100mb.

Not long ago i invested in this little package, seemed o.k for the price. It included an external; 100mb zip drive and 3 disks, the simplicity was astounding, and the overall usefullness of the product was great. Being U.S.B(praise you!) compatable the speed was great, its like a second Hard Drive. What are you waiting for? GO OUT AND GET ONE NOW!
